System 655/16 - Pitched
A proven polycarbonate glazing system which offers a range of advantages:
- Streamline aesthetics combined with secure fixing
- Choice of 9 translucent sheet colours
- Standard or custom bar and perimeter trim colours
- A fully impact resistant 'non-fragile' system
- Available ex. stock or manufactured to order
- Sheets prevent the transmission of 98% of UV rays
- Accommodates facets and
long slope lengths
The hidden 'lock-in' fixing method for the system provides an
attractive glazing finish with no bar up-stands visible
above the slope of the roof. System 655/16 is finished at the
top, bottom and sides with durable anodised aluminium profiles
making it extremely easy to flash against walls or cap on ridges
and hips.
A simple and economical pitched glazing system offered with clear
or opal sheet finish as standard and grey or white glazing
channels. Channels and profiles can be powder coated to any RAL or
BS colours on request and sheets can also be produced to
length in a range of vivid colours for low
minimum quantities. For smaller orders sheet and channel
lengths of 4m, 5m and 6m are available ex stock in clear, opal, sea
grass green and pacific blue tints.
System 655/16 is suitable for a wide range of applications,
especially where a maximum thermal transmittance (U-value) of
2.2W/m2K is required.

System 655 uses strong yet slimline steel
glazing channels in a choice of 1mm or 3mm wall thickness for
optimum weight and span options. The polycarbonate sheets are
self-extinguishing and have the European fire classification:
Euroclass - 2006 B-S1, d0 [UK Class 0 equivalent]. In addition,
impact tests performed at the BRE rated the system as class B
'non-fragile' to ACR(M) 001:2005 [test film below].
