Module 500/40
Module 500/40 is an interlocking polycarbonate system which uses
special 40mm thick multiwall sheets. Manufactured to the
required length/height in 500mm widths, the Module
500/40 panels have the ability to transmit the maximum
available natural light into any building whilst providing
excellent thermal insulation.
U-values:
1.08 W/m2K for the 7-wall structure sheets
0.82 W/m2K for the new XX-wall
structure
The 500mm x 40mm sheets are located in durable anodised silver
aluminium framing trims at the top and bottom of the glazing. For
taller glazed areas, use is made of hidden fastening clamps. These
are positioned within the sheet joints and secure the glazing back
to suitable horizontal secondary supports. This unique fastening
system leaves the outer face of the glazing perfectly smooth and
free of visible mechanical fixings.
Module 500/40 sheet is available in clear and opal finishes as
standard. For special orders sheets can also be supplied
in a range of colour tints and the aluminium profiles
powder coated to any standard RAL or BS colour. Sheets
are manufactured to length with typical delivery to
site made in around 4 weeks from order.
The fast-fit design of the system makes it a practical choice
for use on high or low level glazing, within internal partitions as
well as for rain screen or plant room cladding and feature
facades.
Matching top hung opening window frames can be incorporated within
the Module 500/40 vertical glazing system. The factory assembled
units can be connected to manual or electric actuator mechanisms
and are supplied with rubber gaskets to maintain a weatherproof
seal. Maximum window size is approx 2.5m high x 2m wide.
