Corrugated Single Skin Plastic Sheets

Versatile and simple to use single skin sheets available in tough polycarbonate (PC), highly translucent polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or durable glass reinforced polyester (GRP). Sheets are offered in a range of profiles, widths and sheet lengths to suit different applications.

PC
A recent addition to Rockwell's corrugated range called 'Polygreca' is a translucent polycarbonate sheet manufactured in a 76/18mm box profile. It combines the strength and durability of commercial polycarbonate sheets with the ease of fitting associated with 'DIY' sheets. It also benfits from being produced in an appealing translucent opal white finish which permits 65% of light to be transmitted whilst eliminating both harmful UV rays and glare from direct sunlight. PVC
Rockwell stocks clear 3" asbestos (wave) profile PVC as the most basic within it's corrugated sheet range - this is popular for simple domestic projects and car ports. Clear PVC sheets are also stocked in the larger big-6 wave profile for industrial and agricultural buildings. In addition other wave or box profiles can be supplied to order in clear, translucent, light grey and other colours subject to minimum manufacturing quantities.

A popular general purpose opaque white PVC lining sheet in 70/18mm (3") greca box profile is also stocked in 8', 10' and 12' lengths. This innovative product combines recycled and virgin PVC material to offer a durable, economic and lightweight alternative to steel cladding sheets which will not rust. It is suited for waterproofing applications on basements, railway arches and underground car parks or for use within agricultural or pharmecutical buildings to create hygienic and easy to clean walls and ceilings.

All of Rockwell's commercial PVC sheets are produced using a unique patented 'bi-orientated' stretching process which provides over double the traction impact resistance of traditional PVC sheets. The process alters the mechanical properties of the sheet without the need for chemical additives and is so effective that the big-6 profile sheets are the only 'non-fragile' rated PVC rooflight on the market.

GRP
Translucent GRP sheets are available from stock in 3" iron and big-6 wave profiles in lengths between 5' and 12' . Though possessing lower visual clarity than PVC and PC, GRP is both durable and versatile. A benefit of being the longest established of the rooflight sheet types means that for relatively low quantities GRP sheets can be manufactured to a wide range of trapezoidal or sinusoidal profiles to match common metal or fibre cement roofing sheets.

Various weights and fire grades can be produced to suit the job requirements with heavy weight 'non-fragile' tested versions also offered. For larger orders colour tints can be added to the GRP resin to provide an alternative to the natural translucent finish (above).
